Interactions between your drugs
levonorgestrel tivozanib
Applies to: levonorgestrel and Fotivda (tivozanib)
It is not known whether tivozanib may reduce the effectiveness of levonorgestrel for birth control. If you are a woman of childbearing potential, additional methods of birth control (for example, condoms) may be advisable during therapy with tivozanib and for at least one month after completing therapy to avoid unintended pregnancy, particularly since tivozanib may cause harm in the unborn child. Talk to your gynecologist or other healthcare professional for help in selecting an effective method of birth control that is best for you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
