Omaveloxolone should be taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before eating. Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, or any supplements that contain grapefruit extract during treatment with omaveloxolone unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels of omaveloxolone. This may increase the risk of side effects such as changes in the amount of cholesterol in the blood and changes in liver and heart function tests.
