Drug Interactions between Adacel (Tdap) and rsv vaccine, pref a-pref b, recombinant
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- Adacel (Tdap) (diphtheria toxoid/pertussis, acellular/tetanus toxoid)
- rsv vaccine, pref a-pref b, recombinant
Interactions between your drugs
pertussis, acellular RSV vaccine, preF A-preF B, recombinant
Applies to: Adacel (Tdap) (diphtheria toxoid / pertussis, acellular / tetanus toxoid) and rsv vaccine, pref a-pref b, recombinant
Consumer information for this interaction is not currently available.
MONITOR: Coadministration with the bivalent respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine may decrease the immune response to the pertussis component of a tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis vaccine, adsorbed (Tdap). When these vaccines were coadministered in healthy non-pregnant women, lower geometric mean antibody concentrations (GMCs) to the pertussis antigens were measured compared to separate administration and did not meet non-inferiority criteria. Immune responses to the RSV and remaining Tdap antigens were non-inferior to those after separate administration. No safety concerns were identified, and the clinical relevance is unknown.
MANAGEMENT: Patients should be monitored closely for immune responses after receiving bivalent RSV and Tdap vaccines concurrently.
