Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Corporis
Topical cream or solution: A small amount should be gently massaged into the affected and surrounding skin areas once or twice a day.
To reduce the possibility of recurrence, treatment should be continued for 3 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Cruris
Topical cream or solution: A small amount should be gently massaged into the affected and surrounding skin areas once or twice a day.
To reduce the possibility of recurrence, treatment should be continued for 3 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Versicolor
Topical cream or solution: A small amount should be gently massaged into the affected and surrounding skin areas once or twice a day.
To reduce the possibility of recurrence, treatment should be continued for 3 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Pedis
Topical cream: A small amount should be gently massaged into the affected and surrounding skin areas twice a day.
To reduce the possibility of recurrence, treatment should be continued for 4 weeks.

Topical treatment may be extended to 4 to 8 weeks if treating areas of skin that have thickened.
Precautions
If significant clinical improvement is not seen after 4 to 6 weeks of treatment with the cream, or after 4 weeks of treatment with the solution, an alternate diagnosis should be considered.
Sulconazole topical preparations are for external use only. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. If irritation develops, sulconazole topical should be discontinued and appropriate therapy started.
Sulconazole topical should not be used intravaginally.
Effectiveness of sulconazole topical solution has not been demonstrated in tinea pedis.
Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients (less than 18 years of age).

Symptomatic relief usually occurs within a few days after starting sulconazole topical and clinical improvement usually occurs within 1 week.
