The use of palovarotene in patients with moderate (Child-Pugh B) and severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C) has not been evaluated. The use of this drug in these patients is not recommended.

Palovarotene (applies to palovarotene) psychiatric illness
Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Depression, Psychosis, History - Psychiatric Disorder
Patients with a history of psychiatric illness may be more susceptible to the adverse effects including depression, anxiety, mood alterations and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Monitor closely for development of new or worsening psychiatric symptoms during treatment.

Palovarotene (applies to palovarotene) renal impairment
Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Renal Dysfunction
The use of palovarotene in patients with severe renal impairment (ClCr 15 to 29 mL/min) is not recommended.
