Vtama (tapinarof) "I had the same experience as a few others, immediately (within a day) having redness burning and pain after applying. My dermatologist said I’m allergic to it! Also not covered by insurance, so I’m just out the money I wasted buying it. Don’t purchase a script for it until you try samples first!"

Vtama (tapinarof) "In 2020 I was on the phase 3 trial for Tapinarof. Within 5 months I was completely clear of plaque psoriasis and bugging the clinic about when I would be able to get my hands on this new treatment. I kept my eye on the FDA website and Dermavant website, waiting for the day that this would become a reality for me. Well, It finally happened and in July of 2022 I began the treatment and by September my skin was once again clear. No more vacuuming the bed, sweeping skin off of the floor, itching, bleeding, cussing, etc. Very happy indeed with this treatment, it is by far the most effective topical treatment that I have ever used. And it is non-steroid! Bonus!!! Thanks to all those who have made this possible."

Vtama (tapinarof) "My Dr suggested Vtama in 2022 when it just got FDA approval. I read all the study results and then everything I could find online before deciding to try it. I’m on an anti inflammatory diet, keep active and want no side effects. My experience with Vtama has been wonderful. It has no scent and disappears into your skin very quickly. Directions say only apply once daily and the prescription gives only 60 gr, so I use it before bed using cotton swabs. Like everything you have to be patient, but I could see this working within a couple of weeks. From there it kept going to make my skin clear. Descriptions online say “remission is possible, with improvements lasting months after discontinuing therapy.” This seemed very unlikely to me, but it happened!! I used it for a few months and my doctor said I could stop. My skin stayed clear for over 50 days and I just use it now when any new areas threaten to show. It’s now working in the wintertime! Thanks Vtama"

Vtama (tapinarof) "I tried Vtama after an enthusiastic recommendation from my dermatologist. Within a half hour of the first application, my psoriasis started to sting and burn. I had to wash it off, and my psoriasis was worse. I won’t use it again."

Vtama (tapinarof) "Is this some kind of dream? It worked in 3 wks. No more spots. Some of those were several years old. Doc said it will take time for skin color to balance out. This happened for me in the winter, which I didn’t think was possible. All I can say is Unbelievable. Wish I knew more people to tell about it. Please keep making this."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I started vtama a few weeks ago and while it has certainly improved my skin and psoriasis spots, the side effects have been severe enough that I’ve decided to discontinue use. I get throbbing headaches about 1-3 hours after applying that last for upwards of 12 hours. I’ve also noticed that I get incredibly achy joints after applying."

Vtama (tapinarof) "This medication has made my psoriasis pretty much disappear. I used it daily for a couple weeks and that’s about all it took, my skin was clear and remains clear. It’s been about 2 months and my usual spots have not returned, maybe a dot here and there so I just put the cream on sparingly for a day or two and that’s it. The side effect I have just began having is itchiness in some areas where it’s applied, especially my scalp, it also gets red. These side effects didn’t happen initially. It goes away within a few days and it’s not that bad. For me, it’s worth it, I rarely even use it anymore and my skin looks perfect almost all the time. So glad to finally have something that works!"

Vtama (tapinarof) "I used samples at first given to me by my dermatologist. I used just small amounts and was very happy. It seemed to make some stubborn spots go away and haven’t returned. My problem now is I have a prescription and am experiencing some irritating side effect. Several places I have developed pimple like places and some itching."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I have been using Vtama for over 6 months now. It works! This is the only topical that has worked for me and cleared my skin. I have had some side effects of itching and hurting, but I have found ways to manage it. If it’s really bad, per my dermatologist recommendation, I use Vtama in the AM, and Clobetisol in the PM. I have also used topical benadryl to help the itch, and after about 4 weeks, stop Vtama on the inflamed areas, and only use Clobetisol. After a week or so, I am left with clear skin that stays clear! If you have side effects, please don’t give up, work with your dermatologist to do other things as I have, because this is the best topical to be fda approved, ever!"

Vtama (tapinarof) "I have been dealing with Psoriasis for years. Not wanting to take immunosuppressants or steroids, when I saw a tv ad for Vtama I scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist. After an in-depth conversation, we decided to try it as a treatment. After about 6 weeks all of my psoriasis patches have cleared up including in sensitive areas. The only side effect I have is mild folliculitis. This cream is amazing. My insurance did not cover it but I found a pharmacy that was able to apply coupons and make it affordable. One tube has lasted me 6 weeks and I still have some left. Even at the MSRP, I would purchase this, it has worked so well."

Vtama (tapinarof) "Worked great. Used it for one year. No side effects. Felt my normal pre-psoriasis self. Then I retired and did not have any insurance that would cover the $1400+ per 60 gram tube. Now I'm back to my pre-psoriasis condition. Need to have some type of program to help lower income patients. The US is a wealthy country. Don't know why this couldn't be covered by Part D Medicare."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I’ve had plaque psoriasis for 30 years and have used every topical prescription steroid drug available and never had such great results this quickly. Vtama cleared my skin 99% in 7-10 days. I did develop mild folliculitis on my legs, but an easy trade off. Vtama is very expensive and not covered by my insurance yet, but a coupon is available through the manufacturer that made it affordable for me. Only takes a very small amount in a thin layer once daily. Highly recommend. My skin looks and feels great."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I've had mild psoriasis for 12+ years and this is the only treatment that's helped me long-term. I've been using Vtama since May 2023 and noticed an improvement at the 4-week mark. At 6-8 weeks, I was fully clear! Since then, I only use Vtama occasionally when a spot starts to reappear. Most areas have remained completely clear since July with no re-application needed. It feels amazing to not be worrying about my psoriasis daily anymore."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I loved it at first but then I have had the worst heartburn/pain in the middle of my stomach for the last five days. Had headaches and chills and some vomiting yesterday and have stopped taking it. Glad it has worked for some people. In the five days I have used it there was marked improvement, but the side effects out way the benefit for me."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I was prescribed Vtama when I got on Medicare (new dermatologist). After one month, my psoriasis was pretty much gone. This was in June. I can't say how long this will last, but I have been dealing with this for over 12 years. I had gotten relief for a couple of years with light therapy, but then my insurance changed and didn't cover it. I don't think light therapy would be good for an extended period because it had its own side effects. I am very happy to have found this prescription."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I went to the dermatologist after having Psoriasis for over three years. Tried Otezla and had terrible side effects. Steroid creams had harsh side effects and did not work much. I gave up on treating myself for two years! I was not ready to start on a biologic, so my dermatologist recommended Vtama. This drug immediately worked. I applied it at night, after you shower is best, and had zero side effects. My skin started healing within two days. My scalp was healed within about four days!! After 1-2 weeks, I was in complete shock. It's now been about six weeks, and my skin doesn't itch. It's like I am in total remission. I am just waiting for my skin coloring to continue to get lighter. My entire life has been disrupted by this disease, and this cream has made my life positive and optimistic! I highly recommend talking to your dermatologist. Zero side effects!"

Vtama (tapinarof) "I'm posting this comment to share Vtama is giving me good results, much better than expected. I'm very happy to have found this product. Psoriasis goes away and does not come back. I've been using it for almost 2 months. Satisfied with the product, I looked up how it works, and it's interesting. No more redness and inflammation on the skin. My doctor said he has seen people stop using it and psoriasis does not return for 6 months, sometimes up to a year."

Vtama (tapinarof) "Skin is responding after 2 applications. Only possible negative I notice is that as someone who never gets a headache, I did have a bad one yesterday. Ended up taking 1/2 an allergy pill and icing my head/neck. Can’t be sure of the cause, but thankfully the headache subsided within a few hours."

Vtama (tapinarof) "I have had psoriasis only on the bottom of my scalp (nape area) for the past ~3 years. I've used salicylic acid, coal tar, ketoconazole - basically any anti-itch cream or ingredient out there marketed for psoriasis, dandruff, eczema, etc. The only thing that actually worked for me was Clobetasol, but obviously didn't want to continue using a strong steroid regularly. I really thought nothing else was going to help me. I've been using Vtama for ~3 weeks now and I can already feel a drastic difference. I do still have some itching, but the intensity and amount of flakes has decreased dramatically. My doctor said to use it for 3-4 months before following up so I'm hoping I will continue to see improvement. I have not experienced any side effects, but I also am not using it in any additional areas besides my scalp. Highly recommend trying this!"

Vtama (tapinarof) "I have severe psoriasis. I have tried just about everything imaginable. My doctor is trying to get my insurance to cover a new medication, but it may take a month, so in the meantime, she prescribed Vtama cream. I read a ton of reviews before applying, but of course, everyone is different. I applied it to all of my problem areas, which was a lot. Several hours later, I started getting a headache, but it was not extreme. The next day, I was feeling a little nauseous and had some diarrhea. I was also experiencing some hormone changes. The day after that, I just tried it on a few areas that were the worst. It is working better by only applying it to certain areas. This medication is truly working, though. I have seen significant changes in just a couple of days since I started using it. If it's too strong for your system, just do what I did and use it on one area one day and then on another area the next day, and hopefully, you will be fine. As well as this works, I can handle a few small side effects. Good luck!"

"My dermatologist prescribed this medicine as my fingers had started bleeding. Within 24 hours most of my fingers had started to heal. One finger took a couple of days to heal and the symptom tends to come back every couple of weeks. I was extremely pleased with this medicine. [I am a 76-year-old man.]"

Vtama (tapinarof) "So I just got the prescription a week ago. And I started to see some immediate results and was so happy since I spent all summer not being able to wear sandals. But unfortunately, I also had an immediate allergic reaction and I’ve been itching all week from rash and having extreme fatigue and back pain. So I’m super disappointed and have to make an emergency trip to my Derm tomorrow. If I hadn’t had the rash, I would’ve tried to get through it just because I did see results on my feet and ankles which had been very severe. So I’m very sad."
