For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started the norethindrone mini-pill on Wednesday, May 29th. My period started on Monday, June 4th and I knew something was wrong after only a few days. At first I thought maybe it was just my body adjusting to the pill, and then I even got freaked out and thought maybe I was somehow having a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. I stopped the pill two days ago because I was having the most severe cramps of my life. The bleeding was INSANE. I was soaking through up to 5 super tampons a day, sometimes even more. I have NEVER had extremely heavy periods or severe cramping, so I knew something had to be off. My boyfriend convinced me to stop taking it instead of trying to stick it out and I’m glad I did. Since stopping the pill I’m already started to feel better, no cramps and much lighter bleeding. But it’s definitely made my period last longer than usual, which is so frustrating. I would not wish this pill upon my worst enemy."
