For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have tried for about 3 years different weight loss pills, Chinese tea and tonnes of other alternative methods to try to lose weight, I am petite female after reaching 40 I realized that I started eating more consequently gaining a total of 20 pounds in 3 years. I started working out 2 years ago, lost about 15 pound, my trainer/friend had a baby we stopped our regular work outs for 3 months, gained back and even more. Started working out again but it’s was harder as I didn’t have enough energy on top of craving nonstop. So, I decided to see a doctor for an appetite suppressant, I have been taking Belviq since October 2017, I went from 144 lbs to 117 lbs within 3 months with 5 days workout, healthy eating, only water, I don’t crave or binge eat anymore, have tones of energy. My belly is gone, I am noticeably way slimmer, went down from size 8 to 3, even some of my shoes got smaller. It just feels so good, not to feel so tired and full all the time. I am 43 years old and 4.11 height."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this on June 7th, was supposed to start a few days earlier, but after reading so many reviews, I was scared of the side effects. I am woman, 5'5 weighed in at 195.5. I go for my first 1 month weigh I'm down 7.5 lbs and experienced no side effects. I had been on phentermine before although it comes off faster, I had terrible side effects from that drug. Belviq XR has suppressed my appetite. I won't lie it doesn't take away your hunger, you have to eat sensibly. I found for me I only take 1 pill a day, so I started taking it at 11:00 a.m. but my night I was really hungry. The last week and half I started taking after lunch around 1:00. Takes away my cravings for carbs and sweets and not as hungry for dinner."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My doctor gave me a prescription. I came home with it and started reading reviews. I have to admit that the reviews left me skeptical and little bit intimidated and afraid. There were a lot of side effects reported and a whole lot of negativity as to the effect of the drug. But something tugged at me to give it to go. Now here I am, 9 weeks later and down 24 lb. I have had no ill side effects. So here's my thoughts on the product... Number one, this is not a magic bean. Simply putting the pill in your mouth and swallowing does not create Magic. Number two, you still have to put in the work. You have to be willing to fight cravings and move a lot more, not even necessarily full exercise. Number three, put the time in and commit!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq XR three days ago. I take it at 10 in the morning. First day I was cold and very tired. I pretty much laid on the couch with a blanket and watched TV. I like a cocktail in the evening and drank 2. I was worried about mixing it with alcohol but I researched and found nothing that said "do not drink", so I chanced it. Day two was much better. I wasn't feeling cold anymore and had a little more energy. Again, I had 2 cocktails that evening with no side effects. Today, day three I weighed myself and I have lost 2 pounds. The appetite suppressant kicked in today and I just ate my first meal at 4 pm. I am hoping it deters my alcohol cravings as I know that is a lot of calories that are not helping my weight loss. So far so good on this medication. I plan to give it at least 30 days. Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight. It is tough!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Well, I've been using Belviq XR for a week now. The 1st 2 days I experienced dizziness and headaches but by day 4 I didn't have those symptoms. It definitely has suppressed my appetite I find myself forcing myself to eat. Fatigue is a side effect but I think the fatigues is attributed to the lack of caloric intake especially since I exercise regularly. So it's important to eat even if you have no appetite. So in a week I've lost 5 pounds so far so good. :)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 5'4 and 165 lbs, on thyroid meds and have not been able to loose the weight from my last child. I took Qsymia a year ago and lost 15 lbs in 3 months but the side effects were insomnia, which I've never had in my life, and dry mouth. Cost per month was nearly $300.00 not covered on insurance. I gained half the weight back and decided to try a different med, now on Belviq XR, my Dr. gave me a discount card and only cost $98.00 as opposed to $300.00. I have been taking it for 4 days and have lost 3 lbs ! It has not curbed my eating although I do feel that my appetite is suppressed. I have not had issues sleeping but my muscles do feel sore and I am a bit sluggish at times during day. I have felt like I'm about to get a UTI for a few days now. Also had a few times standing up where I felt dizzy. Those are all the side effects I've experienced. "

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took my first dose of Belviq XR this morning at 8am with light breakfast. I still felt somewhat hungry for a few hours but the hunger was tolerable. By 2pm I started feeling like I was ready to eat. I had a protein bar and that kept me satisfied until 5pm. I started feeling a slight headache come on, so I ate a light dinner and the dull headache subsided. Around 7pm, I could not get warm and felt very drowsy. I crawled into my bed and watched a little tv until I warmed up. It is now 10pm and I am not running to the kitchen for a bedtime snack! I could eat, yes, but so far I've been able to deal with my slight hunger pangs. A little thirsty this evening so I've been pounding down the water too. Will update again soon."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Belviq XR for a week. I noticed since I started taking it I have been very cold and drowsy, and I also have dry mouth quite often. I feel the side effects are worth it, because I've lost 4 pounds. I don't want to binge eat all day like I did before I started taking Belviq, I am satisfied with lunch and dinner."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a female that stands about 5 feet tall, weighting in at 225 pounds. I have been taking this medication for approximately 2 weeks, combined with trying to eat healthier. Slight headache the first two days, but nothing since then. Does curb my appetite. I have lost about 5 pounds so far. My insurance does cover this medication, so my cost was $50 for a 30 day supply."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 48 yr old female weighing 205lbs (the most I have ever weighed in my life). My doctor recommended Belviq XR (20mg) once daily, which he felt was a good option for me since I have high blood pressure. I am also doing WW in conjunction with the med. I began the med on 5/11, today is 5/14 (4 days on it today). On Day 1 & Day 2 I experienced extreme fatigue, mental fogginess & a low grade headache. On day 3 those side effects subsided until I went to bed last night & woke up from what seemed to be hallucinogenic nightmares. It was so bizarre. My dreams were very vivid & lifelike and I woke up several times during the night. I took Advil and it stopped and finally I could go back to sleep. To date, I lost 3 pounds in 4 days so it seems to be working but not sure if I can stay on Belviq with the side effects the interruption of sleep & nightmares. It is quite scary to experience. I am hoping it subsides."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Like many I had a bad experience with belviq. First off let me say I took this drug without food. After 5 hr later I felt as if I voluntarily drugged myself, I experienced extreme fatigue , weakness and massive headache that lay up to 2 day.. ( it felt like I had a hangover, I could barely walk. I took this drug on Wednesday February 28 8:30am. That point I knew I would throw away the drug . Then I decide to give drug another try but with food. This is when I discovered I am one of the people who HAVE to take this with food and not on an empty stomach. What a big difference, no fatigue or weakness and no hangover feeling and definitely no headaches.. So I’m deciding to keep the drug, because it did still curb my appetite and I do want to add though I experienced just wanting to rest and sleep, I was ok with that."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Today (1/26/18) is the my first dose of Belviq XR. I'm not hungry nor do I have a headache as of yet. After reading all the reviews I was afraid of taking this medication. Each person is different so I thought I need to try it and find out for myself. I'm 55 and need to lose 30lbs. Wish me luck. I will report back."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on belviq 10mg morning and night in May of 2017. I switched to XR in September. It was amazing right off the bat helping me lose over 30 pounds. The cravings were gone. Then in the winter it is like it was a placebo. Now I have gained back 12 of those pounds with no end in sight. I am wondering if the two a day dosing worked better than XR"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Qsymia for resistant metabolism. I am 5'6.5", workout 5-6 times a week (6 miles walking (I try to maintain 15 min miles with lots of hills), spinning, pilates) and have always ate well. My endocrinologist prescribed it after every test came back normal. The Qsymia was awesome. lost 20+ pounds and got down to 149 and took the medium dose for 18 months. But had hair loss; found out topiramate (one of the two ingredients in Qsymia) can cause this. So sad to come off the Qsymia, but thin and bald are probably not the best look for me. 10 pounds back on my dr. prescribed Belviq XR (won't give me phentermine alone). First dose today, skin has burning sensation, NOT hungry, feel a bit "high". will discontinue if weight does not drop in first few days."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this medication after being on phentermine for 4 months. I'm on day 6 and my experience so far is not so good. I've been really tired every day and sleeping later than usual. I haven't even felt like walking at all. I usually go 2 miles in the morning and another 2 in the afternoon. I have been nauseous the entire time but it's getting worse as I go. As for appetite I have been hungrier than I was on the phentermine. I'm also up 3 pounds that I think came from inactivity for the past week. For me I don't think this medication is the right one."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Belviq for 3 years. It was successful for the first 6 months, I lost 35 pounds. After that, for the next year, I slowly gained weight back. Then it stopped working entirely and I am no longer taking it. I tried stopping it for 3 months and then restarting it. But it did not become effective again. I was really hopeful that it would help me keep the weight off long term, so I am really disappointed. The cost of the monthly doctor visits required for a prescription ($40.00) and the cost of the medicine $93.00 each month was not worth it in the long term."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Was prescribed Belviq XR after finishing a 90 day course of Addipex (in the state of Ohio you can only take controlled substances for 90 days), anyway- at 42 years old (I believe age can significantly affect the rate you may lose weight), 5’ started at 189, and down 14 lbs. in 90 days. (With modiifying my diet and exercise 3-4x/week) My doctor then prescribed Belviq to keep the momentum. He told me it would be expensive, about a $100, eh pricey but could be worth it. Confirmed it was not covered on my health plan, (go figure- if diabetes meds are covered, and obesity can lead to diabetes, why isn’t a diet pill the first line of defence? and aren’t we trying to prevent diabetes?) I went to pick up the Belviq today: $400 for a 30 day supply. That’s $13/day, to lose, realistically, probably 4 lbs. a month. I’m not paying a $100 to lose ONE pound. I might as well work with a personal trainer for a $100 a week and learn how to keep the lbs off at my age and body type"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I generally tolerate all medications well and was surprised how awful I felt on Belviq. Within a few days of starting it I came down with what I thought was a virus. Body aches, chills and nausea. I kept on the Belviq since I had just started it. I spoke about this to my doctor and he said to give it another week or two. Then the aches, chills and nausea came again. I also felt that the product did not work. I got an additional headache in the evening and then was ravenous. I stopped the Belviq and the symptoms went away."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began taking Belviq in Dec 2016 to lose weight. I was 67 years old, 5' 6" tall & weighed 284 pounds! By late July of 2017, I had lost apx 65-70 pounds (my goal weight was 135ĺ, a total loss of 149 pounds!). Then my rheumatologist put me on a steroid medication to reduce the inflammation and pain.. I not only did I gain back all I had lost, I added a few more! I tried talking to him but all he had to say was that I would have to choose between pain and weight loss. I told him I would take the weight loss! I continued to take Belviq XR until it was recalled this year. I had no side effects at all and, at the time of the recall, I had gone from 284 pounds to 169 pounds, a total loss of 115 pounds! I wish I could still buy Belviq XR legally!!!! Approximately 5 years to lose what I did may seem like a long time BUT I didn't gain it overnight & I'm not going to lose it overnight! Also, I had to stop temporarily several times during that time for other health reasons (tests, surgery, etc.)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've taken Belviq XR for the last 5 nights. I had hoped any dizziness or other reactions would happen while I slept. I am noticing extreme fatigue, aching in my neck, lower back and knees and all over wobbliness. I haven't lost any weight yet, as I am too tired to exercise. The cost for 30 days was $315 with coupon. Quite expensive to feel like rubbish and no weight loss. "
