For Birth Control "I’ve had 0 luck with these patches. I was on Xulane which I loved, then I randomly started receiving these instead. I can rarely keep one on for a day. I go through the whole month's worth of patches in one week."

For Birth Control "When my pharmacy unexpectedly filled my 3-month Xulane prescriptions with Zafemy, I was concerned. I have been on Xulane patches for 6 years. I was told by the pharmacist that Zafemy was the same as Xulane but it is not. The day after putting this patch on, I started bleeding and had period symptoms. Both medications deliver the same amount of medication daily (150/35mcg). However, the Zafemy patch is smaller in size and contains significantly less of each active ingredient. Each 14cm sq Xulane patch contains 4.86mg norelgestromin, USP, and 0.53mg ethinyl estradiol, USP. In contrast, each 12.5cm sq Zafemy patch contains 3.15mg norelgestromin, USP, and 0.289mg ethinyl estradiol, USP. I also found the Zafemy patch to be flimsy and fall off. Please talk to your doctor before changing medications."

For Birth Control "It is awful. I was on Xulane for over 4 years and I loved it, no issues. 2 months ago, I got switched to Zafemy. It SUCKS. Patches fall off within a day, I get horrible cramps and headaches now. I got my period 2 weeks early because the patches don’t stick and keep falling off."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Xulane for over 6 years and have had no problems with it. My medical cover thought it would be better to use a mail delivery service which was fine until they switched my prescription to Zafemy. This patch is horrible I started it using it 6 weeks ago and I started getting irregular spotting, horrible cramps and bloating. I do not recommend this product. It does not stick and falls off randomly. I am in the process of going back to picking up my prescription at the pharmacy and using Xulane."

For Birth Control "I've been using Xulane for years and was switched to Zafemy unexpectedly. Tried it last week on Sunday, May 7, 2023, and place it on my lower abdomen. First two days, the patch fell off. I placed another patch on and tried to be more careful so the patch would not fall off. The next day, I took a shower and it fell off by itself. At this point, I was done with this brand (Zafemy) because I never had this issue with Xulane. I went to talk to the pharmacist and was told that my doctor has to write on the prescription, "DAW (Dispense as written) Patient needs Xulane brand only - side effects to Zafemy." So, to save everyone else time who hates Zafemy please tell your doctor to write this on your BC Prescriptions. If you're wondering why your BC got switched unexpectedly, is because pharmacies are going cheaper and carrying Zafemy in their inventory instead."

For Birth Control "I've been on BC for 8 years, been on Xulane transdermal patch for 6 years. July 2022 I went to pick up my BC and was given Zafemy asked why? Even though my script was for Xulane, was told Xulane is on backorder. 3 months later in October I asked my doctor to specify XULANE. She did. Went to go pick up my BC and it was Zafemy again! Xulane still on backorder per pharmacy. January rolls around and I go to pick up my 3 month script. Zafemy. Again. I have had a horrible experience with this patch, my menstrual cycle is different, I get horrible cramps, and the patches don't stick! I do not feel secure or safe using this patch! I'm in the process of finding a pharmacy who can get Xulane because that's what worked for the past 6 years."

For Birth Control "I tried Zafemy for about 2 months, and during this time period, I was bleeding nonstop. I had headaches from whenever I woke up to whenever I went to sleep. Zafemy even made my chest break out, it was all red with a rash, and I had bad acne. The rash and acne went away eventually. I didn't relate the side effects to the birth control. Both the rashes and acne appeared again so I went to the doctors to see what was going on, and they said it was the birth control that was causing it. I was put on Xulane and I absolutely love it! I have no problems with it, no acne, no weight gain, no rashes nothing! the only side effect is being a little nauseous. but other than that I love this birth control."

For Birth Control "ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! I would consider these defective. I don’t know how there are good reviews on this. I wanted to try the patch out and unfortunately, these are the ones they gave me. I guess it is not normal for patches not to stick. It took me 2 patches to get one to kind of “stick”. I applied it to clean dry skin, pressed down on it, and it still was not sticking properly. It lifts up almost instantly. I will be switching to another brand seems to me none of the other brands have negative reviews. I hope there is a lawsuit against this company as this could result in an unwanted pregnancy. I feel absolutely no sense of security using this. Thank god I am using it only for my hormone imbalance. These have no adhesive to them at all. The internet says not to secure with a bandaid or tape but that’s what I will have to resort to until I get switched off this horrible excuse of a patch. 3 boxes and they were ALL defective."

For Birth Control "I can relate to all of the reviews about the Xulane patch! I've been using it without any issues for years to manage my PCOS and other hormonal conditions. However, our insurance suddenly decided that we could no longer use CVS as our pharmacy and switched us to Walgreens. When I attempted to refill my Xulane prescription, they informed me that they don't carry it and only have Zafemy. I have found these patches to be absolutely terrible! The adhesive is the worst, and I don't even take long baths; I take quick showers! I strongly advise avoiding them if possible."

For Birth Control "My prescription is for Xulane and I've had only 2 or 3 issues in the 1.5 years I've been using it. Walgreens gave me Zafemy instead of Xulane on my last refill, and so far I have only used 2 patches and neither of them have stuck. The first one came off after 2 days and rolled onto it's self, the second one has only lasted for 4 days. The only good thing about this patch is it doesn't leave glue on your skin that makes you itch; if the patch actually stayed in place then it might be ok. I would Use Xulane if given the option it has only came off when I didn't put it in the center of desired location."

For Birth Control "This is my first time being on birth control, I started the patch on the first day of my period and my period lasted the same amount of days but it was way lighter. I’ve been on zafemy about a week with NO side effect. The patch feels pretty thin and the edges lift off a bit by the end of the week, But nothing to be concerned, I recommend it."

For Birth Control "This is the two months of me taking Zafemy (patch is flimsy) after the pharmacy changed me from Xulane. I have been cramping off and on for the past month and consistently for the past 2 weeks now. I am now spotting which makes me 2 weeks early. The whole reason to be on the patch is to reduce cramps and have a regular cycle which my body is currently saying otherwise."

For Birth Control "I was on Xulane for a solid three months and I loved it, little nausea and periods were regular and lighter with mild cramping. Small mood swings on new patch day but as soon as my pharmacy switched my script, it's been horrible. I've been on Zafemy for 3 months and had to stop since my mood swings got really bad (anger almost constantly at the beginning of the week), my periods worsened and cramps got worse. I was consistently inconsistent and what I mean is it would be horrible at the beginning of the week and I would feel normal towards the end and it would start all over again with the new patch. Also this doesn't have as strong of adhesive as Xulane did."

For Birth Control "I was on Xulane until my pharmacy unexpectedly changed it to Zafemy. The Zafemy patch does not stay on, I often go running and when I sweat a lot the patch falls off. The Xulane patch did not do that it would actually stick more to me. I will be changing back to Xulane."

For Birth Control "They worked fine when they stayed on. I used athletic tape to hold them on my arms and stomach each week and that solved all my issues. Without extra help, the adhesive gets washed off in water and then doesn't stick, but the tape keeps the adhesive from unattaching (the hormones are in the adhesive so you really need it). If anyone is having that issue, here's my solution lol. I've been on them for years and it has worked every week since I first started"

For Birth Control "I was on generic Vienva before this and swapped solely for convenience. Only having to think about it once a week during the patch change is awesome. However, it's just not working out for me! I'm on my third month with it and my libido has taken a nose-dive and my period cramps are worse than they were on the pill. I'm wapping back to Vienva as soon as I'm through with this round of patches."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this patch for about 4 months now. The first month it was fine. I didn’t have any problems. The second box I used, I noticed that it wasn’t staying on as well but again it was ok. No big deal. After three months of using it, I noticed it was leaving a mark on my skin. I wasn't very happy with that but again not too bad. Today I took off the last patch for month four due to skin irritation. I thought my skin was just itchy but it is a burn."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS with hair loss. A month after starting this my hair stopped falling out. The only thing is I get breakthrough bleeding. I haven't had issues with the patch falling off. I put it in my lower abdomen just above my thigh and switch sides every week. By lower I mean my underwear covers it low, by my pubes low(sorry). If anything it doesn't want to come off. Just make sure there's no lotion applied there and wipe the skin with a paper towel to absorb any dirt or oil, before applying. Remember It can take 3-6 months for your body to adjust to the hormones from any hormonal bc method."

For Birth Control "Horrible. Patches are not sticky. I gained over 5 lb on this patch and on the xulane patch only gained 2 lb. Highly do not recommend."
