For Insomnia "Started taking doxylamine succinate (aka Unisom) for occasional sleeplessness about 6 weeks ago. I'm 59 yrs old women, healthy, menopausal. Box says dose is 25mg. I started with 12.5 mg because I'm sensitive to most meds. It worked VERY well. I fell asleep fast and stayed asleep, no issues except maybe a mild drowsiness feeling during the day here or there. Fast forward into last week, I'm experiencing dizziness, mild balance issues, headache. Don't know if it's because I took it 3-4 days in a row sometimes and stopped for a day or two? I just know it's a bummer because it works but, this stupid dizziness and balance thing is hanging on into day 2 and I don't want to take it anymore because of that. They say it's, "Not habit forming." I think my body got used to it and I'm 'withdrawing'."

For Insomnia "I'm a 23 yr old with severe anxiety and insomnia and my insomnia has been getting worse over the past few months. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night or fell asleep in less than three hours. Melatonin did nothing for me and Benadryl didn't do much either. I tried unisom last night. I fell asleep much faster than usual- probably took me about 30 minutes. But after 2 1/2 hrs I was awake again. I couldn't fall back to sleep. I tried looking up if I could take another 25mg (I had taken 50mg before I went to sleep) but I couldn't find anything about whether 75mgs total is too much? I'm frustrated because it put me to sleep so quickly, and I slept heavily, but it lasted so short a time that it barely made a difference."

For Insomnia "I was prescribed diclegis by my OB for extreme nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Diclegis is not covered by insurance so I researched what it was and it's basically unisom and Vitamin B6. Now the active ingredient is what is in the sleep tabs, not gels. The gels have diphenhydramine so if you are using this review to help ease nausea during pregnancy, make sure you are buying the sleep tabs. Anyway, I take one tab at night (Check it is the right dose doxylamine 10mg) and it totally works. I don't wake up feeling nauseated at all and I sleep through the night. I do feel a little groggy in the AM, but it's hard to tell if it's from the pill or pregnancy in general. Upon further research, I discovered that the tabs were originally so designed to help with nausea. Hope this helps!"

For Insomnia "My obgyn dr put me on this medication because I’m pregnant and have trouble sleeping. It’s working for the most part mind you I was on trazadone for years so it was kinda rough in the beginning. I’ve been on it 10 weeks now and I suffer from these nightmares. I wake up in a state of fear and a lot of times I scream. It’s getting worse. I’m not sure if it’s my hormones because of my pregnancy or the unisom. Has anyone had any experience with realistic nightmares while on this medication??"

For Insomnia "I break the 25 MG tbs into THIRDS and take it about an hour before bed. I try to have at least 7 hours for sleeping. More is better. Only feel groggy when my sleep time is less than 7 hours. Love it! I also use the generic versions."

For Insomnia "I've always had trouble falling asleep so I bought these one day to try it out and they work great for me. They knock me out in 30 minutes and I get a good nights rest. I use it every once in a while when I have a lot on my mind and just wanna sleep. Only downside to it is that I have a very hard time getting up in the morning when I take one and it makes me sleep even longer which I don't prefer cause it messes with my sleep schedule."

For Insomnia "Because of the lockdown due to coronavirus, my sleep pattern was distorted, and I was not getting enough sleep. So, I decided to get a sleep aid and researched online. This Unisom SleepTabs came up as one of the most effective to getting good sleep and waking refreshed. But the promises are wild and far from reality. I took the pill at bedtime but could not fall asleep for hours. In the morning I woke up with all dizziness and drowsy feeling. My body was aching all over. I could not focus at all and lacked clarity during the day. I don't recommend it all!"

For Insomnia "It works perfect for me to go to sleep. I only took half of the the tab. I sleept the whole night, for 10 hours, but I had a hard time trying to wake up!! I felt dizzy and with Migraine. I read everything about side effects, so I realized that I can't take this substance because I'm taking Eutirox because I have been diagnosed with HipoTyroidism. It works but its not good for me."

For Insomnia "I've always had a hard time falling and staying asleep. Seems like I've tried everything including meditation, sleep noise apps, music, melatonin, make the room freezing, warm the room up, reduce caffeine and stimulus before bed. Bought some unisom to see if it would help. Taking as directed, 1 pill at bedtime. Still takes me a good hour of tossing and turning and then I'm awake every hour or two all night and wake up with a dry mouth. Maybe I'll go back to 10 mg melatonin cuz that seemed to work best."

For Insomnia "I'm a 43 yr old healthy female who has had recent spinal disc degeneration so pain has been tough. Sleep was always elusive a bit except when exercise a big part of my life; now sleep has gotten more unobtainable. I used to get rx ambien but as predicted, it stopped working quickly with tolerance (non-addictive like unisom, but habit-forming and awful on memory - be wary of zolpidem/ambien.) Unisom and its generic have contributed to depression and ill feelings. I think this is quite literally as the bottle reads, for OCCASIONAL sleeplessness. Wishing it worked more regularly."

For Insomnia "I have been experiencing insomnia for the past several years. I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine. My doctor has prescribed Amien for my insomnia but it only works some of the time so I started adding the sleep tabs. I have read reviews where people have to only take 1/4-1/2 a tablet to sleep, me I can take 2 or 3 with Ambien and still stay awake for the night. I'm not sure why but it doesn't work for me. I'm working with my GP to resolve the issue because I can go for weeks on only 1 or 2 hours a night sleep. It makes it difficult to focus and be on my game at work. Just an FYI for those looking for something that works..."

For Insomnia "This worked wonders. I had a cough all day and wanted to be able to sleep it off. Cough syrups tend to give undesired side effects. I took this and had a humidifier in room. My cough actually stopped because the Unisom was drying me out. I slept like a baby. It helped me sleep in the next day and I feel a lot better."

For Insomnia "I have RLS and insomnia. I don't want to use an addictive medication for sleep. Unisom has thus far been very helpful. I start feeling the effects after about 30-45 minutes. Also I try not to take it every day. 1 every few days. I needed it and I'm happy with the results."

For Insomnia "I moved to Hawaii 2 months ago and have had insomnia since I've been here. I decided to buy unisom and give it a try. First time, did absolutely nothing. Second time it took approximately 3 hours to fall asleep. So I decided to up the dose to 2 pills. It's 50/50 chance to fall asleep within an 2 hours. When it does work, I wake up groggy and unbalanced and takes a few hours to shake it off. I don't recommend this product. It just doesn't seem to work like it claims"

For Insomnia "I have has trouble sleeping so I turned to an over the counter sleep aid, unisom gels, in the start I was taken one as time went on I up to 2 pills a nite. I do fall asleep in about one hour and half, I feel like I can’t fall asleep with out them and they work 80 percent of the time. I truly have vivid dreams and they are all about my achievements I think about reaching, overall I just put them out of my mind when I wake up but if I try to understand them I’ll make myself nuts so I just say it’s just a dream. The most important issue I have is to just get a good nite sleep works for me"

For Insomnia "This is the first time I took unisom. I'm pregnant and have been having trouble sleeping. I took it the first night and I as asleep within 30 minutes. It was the best sleep I've had in awhile and woke up feeling great but the second night taking it didn't go so well. It didn't make me drowsy one bit. I tried taking a second pill and nothing worked. I'm not sure why it worked the first night for me but not the second. :("

For Insomnia "This unisom pill is absolutely useless. I wake in the middle of the night on 4/5 hrs sleep and figured I'd try it out because it was "extra strength". I started taking 2 because nothing was happening when I took 1. Nothing after 2 - it did nothing. At best I'd get a slight yawn n a lil dozy after an hour, but not enough to fall asleep. Save yourself the $12/bottle they want and don't buy this pill."

For Insomnia "I started taking unisom about month or so ago I'm a restless when trying to go to sleep so took 50 mg unisom first time worked good but since then not at all. I've taken the unisom than waited couple hours and took 10 mg melatonin than within hour I finally fall asleep. Melatonin alone doesn't work and same with unisom. I would rather not use anything but at 65 yrs old its seems I'm awake more than I sleep at night. Going to talk to dr next visit and see what she says since she is the one recommended the unisom"

For Insomnia "Boy did this make me sleep. I never really woke up the day after I took it, but if I can count on this to make me sleep I am optimistic. A prior reviewer indicates that they do fine with just 1/3 of a pill, so I am going to try half and take it at least an hour before bed."
