Teczem (diltiazem/enalapril) for High Blood Pressure: While there are many forms of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE-I) enelapril is among the most tested and respected. It shares the same warnings as the others, but in large tests, it is among the most effective. Similarly, not all calcium channel blockers are equally effective in preventing cardiovascular injury and death. Diltiazem, the active CCB in Teczem has been shown to not only lower blood pressure, but to lower the incidence of heart attack and heart failure.
