Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I am torn on how to review this. Luckily my dermatologist warned me about possible burning and suggested I mix it with face lotion. I tried this and, dear god! It burned like nothing I have ever felt. I was tearing up and actually sweating from the pain, that caused more hurt even so I had to remove. I eventually figured out if I put on a layer of aquafor (which has similar consistency) then put on a little Eucrisa it was manageable but still quite painful (would have a glass of ice water and ice pack ready to immediately apply to help). This actually did seem to help and my skin felt smoother and saw less flaking but I just couldn’t face this torture every day. I hoped the burning would decrease like some other reviewers experienced but it never did."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have had perioral dermatitis on my face for years. Nothing had worked and I pretty much gave up hope. I figured I’d have red, scaly, dry, painful, burny skin around my mouth forever. I ended up with an eczema flare up on my hands. Elidel didn’t work and I refuse to use steroid creams. I had to pay a premium for this because my insurance denied to cover it since I didn’t try topical steroids but I’m so glad I did! My face looks and feels normal for the first time in years and my hands are pretty much healed! I’ve been using it for about a week and a half. I did experience some burning on my face the first week or so but now I don’t notice anything. I’m so happy I’ve found something that works! I can wear foundation for the first time in years!"

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have eczema that flares up awful with the season changes. This time it decided to flare up on my eyelids of all places and I was given eucrisa to help manage it. The medicine works and clears up my eczema dramatically. The BURNING is terrible! It is almost unbearable and hurts so bad it makes my head ache. So really it's just depending on where your eczema is located? I will keep using it because my eczema is awful without it, but goodness it is SO painful."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "Horrible burning! Prescribed Eucrisa for severe itching (dermatitis) around eyes. Made condition significantly worse and felt like I had flames coming off my eye lids and under eyes. Tried putting up with it for as long as I could stand it. Was actually making a bad situation worse and finally had to wash it off and apply a cold compress for half an hour to calm it down. Add the fact my insurance company was charged $1,099.99 for this stuff only makes the situation worse. Now my eyes are worse and the ointment is a greasy mess that does not go away. Who would want to be out in public with greasy eyes? Would definitely not recommend this!"

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have had eczema my whole life. I’ve always used steroid creams so when my new dermatologist suggested this when I requested a refill I thought I’d give it a try. Big mistake. I wasn’t flaring much at all just a little on my eye lids and hand. I haven’t flared up much in the last 2 years. I’m vegetarian and that seems to have helped drastically. Anyway. I gave this a try. And now I’m flaring on my forearms, neck, back, both hands and elbows. I haven’t flared on my forearms since I was in middle school and I’m 30 now. This is GARBAGE! DO NOT USE THIS! I gave it a full weeks try! And today I broke and just rampaged through my home to find an old almost used up tube of Triamcinolone Acetonide. I’ve never been so glad to use this cream until today."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I loved eucrisa for the first few weeks. It burned a little and then caused peeling, but after that my eczema was amazing. I primarily used it on my hands- where I have the most severe eczema. After constant use my hands were getting more red and itchy- in places I didn’t usually have issues like my palms and the back of my hands. So I used more, and it got so much worse. I stopped using it and went back to my normal steroid cream, and I went back to my baseline. I was so excited for a non steroidal cream, but I had a bad reaction with continual use : ("

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "My 8 year old daughter has had severe atopic dermatitis and eczema, exacerbated by allergies, almost her whole life. It's so severe that her skin is consistently like raw meat, cracked open, and bleeds. This medicine says not to use on irritated skin. Is that a joke? Because the condition it claims to treat is in fact what it says to not use it on. Adding further insult, is the excruciating pain that comes along with the treatment. My daughter says she'd rather deal with the bullying, torment, unsightlyness, itching, irritation, pain and bleeding than use this medicine. How sad they develop a medicine that causes more pain than it's worth for children. I thought perhaps my daughters struggles would be cured. Back to the drawing board folks."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I got a tube of this and it really doesn’t work if you have severe eczema. I generally use a steroid ointment that with one use before bed, it’s about halfway gone/better by morning. All this has done is made my skin burn and make it so much worse!!!"

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have severe eczema. Prednisone or tacrolimus will clear me up but Steroid topical medications only help a little. I was excited to hear about a new treatment. The tube cost 80.00 after insurance. I didn't notice any pain or discomfort but I didn't notice any positive effect either. It did nothing for my itch. I decided to try it on one leg with triamcinolone ointment on the other. The triamcinolone worked noticeably better. I did not refill my prescription."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "After paying over $100, my daughter used this maybe 8 times on her face, and finally gave up. The intense, burning pain, lasting as long as 10 minutes, was too difficult to bear, for the small benefit received. She tried to keep up with it, and did notice an improvement after two applications, but that improvement went away by the 5th application, and then was as bad as before, with the intense burn. A very costly mistake. I WISH our doctor had warned us about the pain, although knowing our doctors after years of interaction, I don't think she had ever been warned (by the Rx company) about it (she's not a dermatologist)."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have tried everything for my 2 year old that has had a severe eczema. This product works and in a matter of days! The coupon got the price down to $40 for me and after spending hundreds of dollars on stuff that didn't work, I'm glad to budget this product in for my son. I can't express in words how pleased I am with this product."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I never leave reviews but I just had to put in a good word for this ointment for anyone out there thinking of giving it a chance. I had a terrible flare up of eczema across my cheeks after living abroad for a year in a particularly polluted environment. I had eczema as a kid (on my arms) but this was new for me. I tried using steroid cream that my derm prescribed, which cleared it up but just resulted in the flare coming back after a week. A few weeks ago, I got my hands on Eucrisa and after just one or two applications, it cleared up my eczema almost completely! I haven't needed to apply it in over a week now. In terms of the stinging sensation many people have mentioned, there was a very light burn when I applied the ointment (for maybe 30ish min). But it didn't hurt at all, maybe because my eczema didn't have any open cuts/lesions."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "This is the greatest solution to a problem that I have dealt with for years . This product has all the benefits of a steroid without the baggage of what Steroids cause . I highly recommend people trying this . It comes in a 60g tube which is the size of a tube toothpaste. Thank you Pfizer for this great product. Yes it cost me only $35.00"

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "The cost of this med is outrageous. It only affordable to people with money. Eucrisa burned my face severely. Arms / legs helped little but after only 2 days I developed rash like area on my trunk. I stopped using it on arms legs and rash on trunk was gone. Vicks works better than this and cheaper. Also soaking in warm bath with DEAD SEA SALT 100% pure, helps. It's Ridiculous and horrible experience. I can't understand why they can't find a cure. It horrible to deal with and is ruining my life. I have tried everything and steroids have made it worse. God help us."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "This medication burns like someone is pouring acid on your face. After using it the first time at night (which I cried because it burned so bad) my face became less red after 30 min to an hour, but by the next day it looked exactly the same as it had prior to using the cream. My dermatologist recommended that I put facial lotion on first and then apply the Eucrisa to PREVENT it from burning, but, that turned out to be a laughable solution. The second day I had to talk myself into applying it on my already sore face. It burned for 30 minutes. I have applied it for 5 days now and my eczema is exactly the same; all over my face, weeping, bright red, and itchy. I give up and I really hope my dermatologist can find something else because it is just not worth the pain for no result. I really wanted this to work. The only positive thing I can say is it applies easily and my dermatologist provided me with a coupon that made it $30. Not a fan."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "Hello! I am unlucky to have been born with eczema & asthma. I have it on my hands. One day I had a bad flare up from my allergies around my eyes so bad it was so dry & red ! I also started to get it on my back and stomach. I went to the dermatologist and was prescribed prednisone for 10 days. I used pred one time along with the eucrisa one day not even a full day yet, and my eyes are almost cleared up and my hands! One time!! I will say I can not give this 10 stars like I want to because I haven’t used it long term, AND the unbearable burning sensation I get on my face for 3-5 minutes from it !! It is awful but it feels GREAT and works amazing after that time! I guess since I’m using it on my eyes its more sensitive , but I guess looking at others reviews, it must just be the ointment working!! It is a thicker consistency, I wear face makeup too and I’m fine with it being applied underneath due to my eczema anyways! But I will say so far I like it!"

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "Yes, it did burn like crazy when applied. It initially improved the eczema on my hand but it went back to not really doing much good within a week and the eczema on other parts of my body which were so minor as to not be noticed have spread like wildfire and gotten exponentially worse, like a spot the size of a dime has now spread to half of my arm and these areas were never bad until now and I've had eczema for about 6 years."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I was prescribed Eucrisa after I’ve struggled with large itchy welts all over my arms, legs and stomach, many of which are likely the result of a bug bite or allergen. I received an allergy scratch test as well as a patch test, which I discovered I was allergic to the Triamcinolone cream as well as all the hydrocortisone creams I’d been using to fix my itchy skin and hives. I’ve used a full 60 mg Eucrisa tube and I have not seen it make much of any of a difference. When I apply the medication, it burns slightly and then becomes more itchy or tingly, like when your legs fall asleep. I have had better luck treating with alcohol to clean any irritants from my skin and applying Neosporin with pain relief to help relieve some irritation."

Like it actually spread more across my face. My derm gave me a prescription for desonide which worked in a day, literally. This isn’t really worth it in my opinion, but everyone is different."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I have been struggling with atopic dermatitis for at least 10 years. I have had patches on my forearms, thighs, hands, and my feet have been the worst since the beginning. There isn’t enough space to list all of the products and techniques I have tried to get things under control. I have been using Eucrisa for 3 days and I can already see and feel an astounding improvement. It’s too early to tell if this product is the answer to my prayers but what I see is promising. While I was warned about the possible burning issue I can say that this far I have not felt any discomfort."

Eucrisa (crisaborole) "I am experiencing eczema or atopic dermatitis on my hands and eyelids. This is recent, just started this year. I’ve have also had one on back of my lower scalp since 2004. I’m older 58 years old now. But like I said just this year have had issues with my hands and eyelids. Eyelids are bothering me the most. My dermatologist recommended Eucrisa for both my hands after I used a steroid on them plus for my eyelids. She also prescribed Eletone for my eyelids to use first. Eletone has parabens and I’m allergic to them. So hasn’t worked well. I went ahead and tried Eucrisa which fortunately my insurance accepted. I still need to use more but so far so good. I was worried initially as it does sting and burn like hot sauce. But that only lasts about 10-15 mins. I read up on it and seems to a normal reaction and not an issue. My eyelids are feeling must better. Hopefully inflammation will go away too. Says it can take up to 30 days. I’m going to give it a go!"
