Epidiolex (cannabidiol) for Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome "My daughter began using this medication in conjunction with the ketogenic diet and lamictal. It seemed to help at first with startle seizures, but then other small daily seizures began occurring and the startles have come back somewhat milder. I was very happy to try CBD covered by insurance, but I’m very unhappy that this medication contains Sucralose. I am trying to improve my daughter’s gut health, which has a strong link to all her health conditions, and sucralose is terrible for gut health. They need to make this med with clean ingredients. No wonder a main side effect is diarrhea."

For Anxiety "Have been taking this medication alongside diazepam which I am tapering off. I have found my mood is more calm, but I'm not sure if that is related to the CBD. For about 1.2 months, I've been taking around 40-50mg a day 2-3 times a day, although this may be excessive. Only use this as a medication if its production is regulated, as you may unknowingly be consuming some THC as well, which can show up on drug tests and impair your thinking. I think this mildly helps, but if you have intense anxiety, you will probably need more than this, but it can help alongside other medications (check for interactions with CBD). I would say I have experienced absolutely no adverse effects from this medication, so just give it a go and see if it helps. Remember, medication is only a temporary solution. It is always better to find the root cause of your anxiety and work with mental health professionals than to treat it with a drug and have your symptoms come back later. Stay safe."

Epidiolex (cannabidiol) for Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome "My son, 9, has recently started on 60mg BD and keeps dropping off to sleep throughout the day. This has not happened before. Seizures are slightly better. It's still early days, so it's hard to tell if this medication will be a game changer."
