Correctol (bisacodyl) for Bowel Preparation: I had a serious reaction when I took Correctol and a muscle relaxer (for lower back pain) during the same 6-hour period. I woke up in the middle of the night with sweats, elevated heart rate and chest pain. If it had not subsided in 15 minutes, I would've had to call 911.

bisacodyl for Constipation: It works, I'll say that. However, I experienced horrible PAIN and discomfort. Usually I have a high tolerance for pain. I think a regular fleet enema is more gentle and just as effective.

bisacodyl for Constipation: I was suffering from very bad constipation, after being on an opioid for pain relief. After taking bisacodyl I started having results within 30 minutes, and had satisfactory relief in about 3 hours. It worked tremendously well!

Dulcolax (bisacodyl) for Bowel Preparation: It's the best thing for me. It works few hours after taking the pill. I did not experience any of the side effects. It is a great way for someone who is really constipated to get relief fast.
