Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I have been on this medicine for four days and I am completely amazed at the difference in my life. I feel SO much better! No more anxiety or depression, I sleep like a rock and I wake up feeling refreshed and optimistic, whereas before I woke with anxiety or depression and even invasive thoughts nearly EVERY morning. So far, so good! Hot flashes are greatly reduced, but I am most surprised by my change in mood. Family doctor wanted me to try one SSRI after another, while my OBGYN gave me the Duavee. I am only 46 years old yet haven't had a period in probably a year. I had NO idea that my horrible anxiety and depression were hormone related. I literally feel like I've been given a new lease on life. I feel 10 years younger!"

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I could have dealt with the night sweats probably, but the extreme emotions were driving me and everyone around me crazy. I felt better after the first dose and every day since, I feel great, I can control my emotions. Duavee is my miracle."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "65 years old and started in 2006 a Continuous Sequential system with Vivelle and Combipatch until 2015, when my doctor had no choice but to switch me to Duavee. It does not work as well for my vaginal area so I supplement with a DHEA suppository each week. My libido is less, as is my response. A plus for me taking estrogen is that I cannot take the medicines for my mild osteopenia. I have no postmenopausal symptoms with Duavee, but I have experienced weight-creep. I took an SSRI for seven years and the gain is exactly like that; the pounds melted away when I stopped Lexapro. I plan on taking this as long as I can, because life without estrogen is very unpleasant for me; depression, dried up all over, terrible anxiety. Fortunately, there is no cancer on either side of my family (my mother with a uterus intact took estrogen for 45 years) so I am hoping to be allowed to continue on Duavee for the rest of my life."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "My doctor prescribed Duavee for post menopausal symptoms. I took it for 17 months. Over time, the side affects of this medicine have gotten worse. I’m experiencing hair loss, yeast infections, difficulty sleeping, leg cramps, backache, depression, weight gain and my libido is practically nonexistent. I stopped taking Duavee 2 weeks ago. I experienced withdrawals for the first week but I’m beginning to feel much better."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I've been on Duavee for 8 years now. I call it my happy pill. Very frustrated with two different backorders this summer. My Dr. had to switch me to another drug because we can't get supply of Duavee. Before Duavee, I tried all other HRTs and none stopped the bleeding. I was also having issues with brain fog and hot flashes but Duavee resolved those symptoms."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I am 56 and have taken a number of hormones over the years for birth control and HRT. Duavee is the only one I've used without unwanted side effects. I'm exceedingly frustrated that, for over 6 months, I have had to substitute a Estrogen patch /Progestin capsule to control severe hot flashes because there is ZERO supply. I've gained 10 pounds and have terrible mood swings now. Bless Pfizer for giving me a COVID vaccine, however, to get my life back, I need them to put Duavee back on pharmacy shelves!"

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I have taken Duavee for two years. It was great for hot flashes and mood swings. However, I had bloating and weight gain. I have also developed neck pain, joint and muscle pain. I already had pain in my back and hip but now it’s worse. I have been off Duavee for two months now. Hot flashes and moods swings aren’t as bad now but my pain is still hanging around."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I started taking Duavee about 5 years ago for menstrual periods. After my period stop, I decided to stop Duavee. Then on May 2018 my doctor put me on Duavee again due to hormone issues. The pill started causing joint pain around my hips and neck pain and muscle spasm, to the point that it cause bulged disc/spine problems. I stopped the pill but the damage it’s done."

"I have had GERD for years, but mild. I started taking DuaVive about 2 months ago and my GERD has gotten unbearable. I’m feeling sick and in pain 80% of the time. My doctor said it wouldn’t affect my GERD, but in the past 2 months this medication is the only thing that has changed in my life. Although I love not having hot flashes consistently, I’m going to stop taking DuaVive and hope that gets me my health back as I can’t live like this. Glad the drug was recalled and I couldn’t get my prescription refilled, as it got me researching the drug and reading other people’s comments."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "I took Duavee for only 12 days and developed an agonizing itching rash that took months to go away. It had absolutely no effect on hot flashes, night sweats or any other menopausal symptoms."

Duavee (bazedoxifene / conjugated estrogens) "Still has hot flushes, night sweats, was offered extra medication for the which would have cost in excess of 60€ a month, felt like the gynaecologist was pushing this drug, not helpful at all"
