Hello, you certainly can have beer or wine on HCTZ that's the short spelling they use in the hospital, lol. It's a water pill used to remove water from the blood so it doesn't third space like in your ankles or cause high blood pressure. It's not going to react with the meds but you shouldn't drink in excess.
