i know it will not show up as an opiate evan though it has some in it. if i did fail it would come up as buprenorphine. some one please help scared to go but have to get it done but i really need to. my dreams are in the army and must go but not ready to quit suboxone quite yet. does anybody know from experience. were on it when they went to meps?

Thats funny that u say it won't show as an opiate because the opiate part of the drug is really pretty strong. I say this because I'm prescribed dilaudid for a fussed C-1 C-2 vertabrae but know people who don't take opiates often but get pretty whacked when they take suboxone even with the narcan part. I'd be more worried about it showing as an opiate more than anything else,but if you have knowlage that it won't then I guess you go with what you know. Good luck,I'd hate to think you didn't get into the army because of some monkey dope like suboxone,I mean if you take a drug to get high( If that's what you take it for) & risk getting popped, than I'd take one that will get you toasted!!(mabey it's just me) anyway good luck again.

im on suboxone and you cant get high on. it if you take to mutch the narcan
blocks the efects and its synthetic its not maid from opiats

No it won't show up on a standard test. I was on it for 2 years and took drug tests at least once a month and never failed one. If they send it off to a lab which is a good possibility they usually have to specifically ask to test for buprenorphine because it's synthetic and needs its own test just like methadone or oxycodone. If I were you I'd get off if on your own I know from experience coming off it isn't fun or easy but better if you don't have to do it cold turkey. Good luck with that I think you'll probably be pass it but do yourself a favor and get off that stuff.

from exp., no they dont test for bupe/sub in MEPS or randoms. Been pissin in cups for years on bupe, and never sweat it. I would recommend detoxin' before hittin BCT, sucks d===Dck going thru withdraw's in basic. Or come up with an ingenious plan to sneak some in there past the drill sgts

tox screen, it just means they test for substances that shouldn't be there or are abused. It is quite expensive to test for buprenorphene or pentazocine which like I said before are rarely abused because of their partial agonist qualities. If you have a prescription that also helps, as they usually don't report drugs that are proven to be taken as prescribed by a doctor... no, they dont test for it in MEPS or randoms in your unit. If they had suspicion of bupe/sub use, they can send for a test that can pick it up, but other than that rarity, they dont test for it.
they only test for opiates in the form of heroin, morphine and oxycodone. If its not one of these you will be fine. Suboxone is a specific test. They have have received a tip off before they will test you for that alone.
