I'm trying to find out if there is a recommended dosage limit per 24 hours for Ibuprofen as there is for Tylenol, to lessen the possibility of hepatic compromise.
Has anyone heard of one? If a person takes 800-1000mg of Ibuprofen per day, pretty routinely, is s/he at risk for liver injury or failure?

The generally accepted limit is 2400 mg/day. I have been taking 1600-2400 mg/day for several years without ill effects.
An ulcer is is more likely than liver damage. Ibuprofen is an NSAID an can cause stomach bleeding. It depends on how delicate your stomach is.
