Has anyone experienced internal body tremors from it? Only taking 5mg daily.
Is this from the medication or the anxiety.
Xanax helps to stop it but I know this is a dangerous drug to take.
Taking generic Lexapro for 8 days?

Yes, it’s common for Lexapro to cause body tremors/shaking. It should subside within a week-2. Most antidepressants tend to increase anxiety which can led to body tremors. 5mg is a low dosage, so you should be alright within a couple of weeks. Just continue taking the medication until your body get adjust to it. Stay safe.
The internal tremors are frightening and some of the muscles in my legs are twitching. I have been taking low doses of Xanax just to get through the day. I am grateful to hear that this is not uncommon because I was ready to give up on the Lexapro. I wish doctors were more forthcoming about these possible scary side effects.
Usually the first few weeks on antidepressants are terrible, but, they tend to subside within a week once you continue taking the medication. Lexapro is a great choice to treat anxiety disorders. Just hang in there and stay positive. Take it easy bud. Keep me updated on how your feeling. Byee
