Father has GIST malignant. dr. said there were NO side effects to gleevec, thoughts?

double amputee, alzheimers, 8-9 pain level every day from legs... high blood pressure. so frail... should he start this course of treatment? 77 years old.

Gleevec - I am a CML patient taking Glivec for the past 27 months - do i have renal failure?

My creatini level is increased to 1.6 after glivec.( It was 1.4 at the time of stating Glivec ). Is this a renal failure? Is it so, then is it due to Glivec ? Ramamurthi
