Are you able to take Singulair on an "as-needed" basis, rather than once per day?

My main interest in trying Singulair is to help with my "exercise-induced asthma," so I am considering trying it three times a week, on the days that I work out. I will discuss this with my MD but I wanted to get responses from this excellent online community, too. Thanks!

i've been out of my singulair for about 2 weeks now, thanks to some mishap with my insurance. it's getting to the point where even my nebulizer and inhalers are not giving enough relief. i need help. i even went to the extent of asking for free samples.

I stopped suddenly stopped suddenly when I noticed some weight gain and the muscle cramps are bad. I am not sure if it because I stopped suddenly or not.

But It's not thrush... I always rinse my mouth out after using my inhalers, usually with a large glass of water.. Previously I was on Seretide with Duolin as my relever and had no mouth troubles at all.. Any feedback is most welcome thanks..

Can you recommend an inhaler that does not use albuterol sulfate?

I am allergic to albuterol sulfate, it causes numbing of my mouth/nose if I use the HFA inhalers more than 3-4 times in a week.
