HALF LIFE of sertaline is 24 hours ,,, let me explain it to u
Half life is the time for the drug to lose half its strength. As an example. You take a 50 milligram pill, and its half life is 18 hours. In 18 hours 25 milligrams will still be in your system. In another 18 hours 1/2 of the 25 milligrams would still be in your system, meaning 12.5 mgs. In another 18 hours 1/2 of 12.5 mgs, which would be 6.25 mgs, and so on. If you take another pill or pills in the same 18 hour period, you have to add to the number of milligrams in your system. Therefore, you take a pill that is 50 mgs. The half life is 18 hours, once again in 18 hours, you will still have the same 25 milligrams in your system. But lets say you take another pill in 9 hours. At 18 hours, you will still have the same 25 mgs in your system, and approx. 37.5 +25 mgs=62.5 mgs. I know that is all confusing, and if you have any questions, please e-mail me.
may be its helpfull , and i thnk it wll take 2, days
I don't know the answer to this one because I just started sertraline. One doctor had told me that it is one of the easier ones to stop taking without a lot of withdrawals. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Have a blessed day.
I'm having a severe allergic reaction to Sertraline so took my last dose roughly 36 hours ago. When can I expect it to be completely out of my system?
