Robitussin-AC - Is this medication safe for children ages 10 to 15?

Also if this drug is not covered under our medicaid plan, is there another generic form or comparison we can get that is covered? The pharmacist told me that histussin, which is basically the same type of medication, was recalled and they no longer distribute it, is this true? She said that none of these medications were covered under medicaid, which i have gotten on medicaid in the past for my children having chronic coughs due to severe colds and flu symptoms?

If this medication is very well covered under my medicaid plan, i need to know ASAP, cause it was very expensive, i really didn't have the money to cover this medication, that's why i am temporary on medicaid through the state! It just didn't sound right to me when the pharmacist told me it was not covered! The doctor asked me what insurance i had, and said it should be covered, i guess that's why they ask you up front what type of insurance plan you have?
