What i thought was a bacterial infection could be from a caterpillar called processionary i think. They live in pine trees & my rash started soon after i trimmed branches on a pine tree. I read about it and said to look if there hairs from the caterpillar. I took a jewelers loop magnifier and i'll be darned if there wernt a bunch of long black hairs sticking straight out of the rashed area! I did what they said and took tape to remove and im not sure if i got them all but rash looks somewhat better. Ive had it since the 17th of May and Doc said he thought it was bact infection and prescribed me mupirocin. If it is caused from caterpillar can i still use the ointment?
Could my rash be from a caterpillar?
