... for dental treatment but more worrying is no one in the medical world pays any attention. I'm due to have denervation done soon where they burn my nerves away at 90 degrees and I'm awake with just a local anaesthetic for relief. I've already had it not work when removing a spinal cord stimulator from my side and after 13 injections had to have a general anaesthetic and two lots of facet joint injections. I'm at my wits end as I must have this next procedure followed by the same on the other side and have already been told no one can cope for longer than 30 minutes, hence the two procedures but what's that going to be like with no relief in place except a local that won't work. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thankyou

When you go for the procedure talk to the anesthesiologist and tell them that it didn't work last time and they can use something different. Anesthesiologists want to keep you as pain free as possible during the procedure. I once felt it when they burned my nerve ending, so now they make sure that I don't feel it.
