The first one is prescribed to lower blodd pressure.
Do these 2 balance each other out?

Rutger; These are used with no problem together the Amitriptyline is more for sleep or depression anxiety or just to help calm you and maybe your heartbeat down. And the Losartan is your blood pressure medication, One thing you might notice is the most sedative effect when you first start them which is normal as your system gets used to them these side effects are minor and go away. There is no real interaction between the two medications. But we are all different and things work differently for everyone and their system. Most people have no problem taking this combination. But try and take them just as its ordered by your doctor and keep taking them about the same time each day. This helps keep a constant blood level.
Hi Rutger-
The only way you are going to be able to tell if they balance each other is to wait to see if they do. I was on Amitriptyline 25 mg for sleep. It was very sedative.
Wishing you the best outcome :)
