I have to rinse with peridex 4x a day for a week and apparently it stains teeth. How bad will it be and what can I do to reduce staining?

Peridex (Chlorhexidine gluconate) is a mouthwash that reduces bacteria in the mouth. It is used to treat gingivitis (swelling, redness, bleeding gums).
Peridex may cause staining of teeth but not everyone will experience this. This stain can be removed by having your teeth professionally cleaned.
To minimize discoloration, you should brush with toothpaste and floss 3 times a day, emphasizing more on the stained areas. Chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash should be used only up to two weeks and intake of tea, coffee, red wine and smoking should be avoided during use.
