Olanzapine - how has Zyprexa worked out for anorexia, and have side effects been insignificant?

HI, Jody!
One of the very most significant side effects of Zyprexa is weight gain.
"Very common (10% or more of users): Weight gain/increased weight greater than/equal to 7% of baseline body weight (up to 89.4%)"
" Preliminary evidence supports the use of olanzapine for treatment of anorexia nervosa by demonstrating that olanzapine 2.5-15 mg daily promotes weight gain and has positive effects on associated psychological symptoms. "
This link shows the potential side effects of the drug but remember that they are potential and relatively uncommon except for the metabolic changes.

I hope this will help.
