About a week ago, I started taking my 20mg of Lexapro in the afternoon opposed to in the morning. The first few days were fine, except for some fairly bad headaches and nausea; however, yesterday around noon I began feeling very disoriented in addition to my headaches. Then around evening time I noticed the disorientation increased and I had fairly bad body aches, weakness, and fatigue. On top of this, I had intermittent bouts of low grade fever the highest clocking at 100.2. Today, the nausea is mostly gone along with the headache, but I’ve experienced general malaise and fatigue and a sensitivity to cold and touch along with the same intermittent bouts of fever. Highest today was 100.8 but it doesn’t last long and will sit at an elevated 99.0-100 but then sometimes be fine at 98.6 which I think is what I am normally. No idea what’s going. Wondering if this just my serotonin being all out of wack all over my body cause if the new timing of my dose or something warranting a visit to the doctor. I know it’s generally never good when headaches, weakness, and fever are all together.
Lexapro new time causing side effects?

Give it 2 weeks and all side effects will gone!
Hi, cole!
Most of what you describe could be attributed to the increase especially if you went from the standard initial dose of 10mg to 20mg... doubling your dose. The low grade fever is a little concerning because that's not a common side effect.
Given your symptoms and that you should be in touch with your doctor anyway through this initial period I would recommend that you at at least give them a call today and get their professional advice.
Even though it's coincidental to your increase you may need to rule out any other underlying causes.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better soon.
