I'm diagnosed with cyclathymia (rapid cycling Bipolar I, I think). I've been on Lamictal (25 mg) for just five days, titrating off of Oxcarbepezine (Trileptal) (600 mg 2x day). I was on Trileptal for 10 years, but it just started making me feel flat (no affect), no libido, memory probs, increased depression/irritability. But without it, I can't sleep. On the Lamictal, I am sleeping, but having some vivid dreams and nightmares. Do those continue or go away after a while? They're kind of awful. I also have a sore throat, but my young son has been sick and I suspect I have just caught his cooties, so I'm not too worried about that yet. No other side effects so far.
Lamictal - Do the nightmares stop?
