My a1c went from 7.4 to 9 despite being on Victoza 1.8 and metformin 2,000 mg per day.
My dr put me on invokana 100 mg per day. All seems ok but my sex drive has decreased. I'm married to my husband 18 years but lately I'm just 'not in the mood' I'm glad the medicine is working but has anyone else experienced this too?

I was on invokana for about 2 years and if I were you, I would stop taking that right away. In October I felt like I was dying, I went to the hospital and was admitted with DKA. Diabetic Ketoacid, it's from extremely high blood sugar over a long period of time. My a1c was 10, not too high, so dka didn't come from that, it came from invokana. Hello RDLMJ. Have you read the leaflets that come in the boxes of your pills? I am not quite sure on this next bit - but we diabetic men can get on prescription FREE Viagra, as I've said - not sure if there is something for women? As a Diabetic man I've NEVER had problems with Sex, and from what I've read it is normally men who suffer. Regards, William.
