I went to my PCP for severe pounding headache, fatigue, fever, chills, jaundice and tinnitus. Tests showed I had an elevated liver panel, anemia, but no hepatitis. Within a week, the fever and chills went away, but I developed stomach pain, more fatigue and weakness, insomnia and loss of appetite and the headache only grew worse. One more week of those symptoms a psychologist friend suggested I may have Naproxen toxicity, (which my PCP had prescribed, but never suggested as a cause to my problems.) After only three days off the drug, my intense pounding headache and fatigue got a little better. The GI specialist is doing a colonoscopy to rule out GI causes of the anemia. Now I need to know how to help my liver, tinnitus, insomnia, etc. And mainly how can my doctor test for Naproxen toxicity?
I need information about Naproxen toxicity. I have taken it for 3 years and now have severe sidefx?
