wiill the oxycodone im prescribed show up on a nine panel drug screen for work? i took dilaudid the day before the test will it show up? will they be able to differentiate between the two or will the oxycodone prescription cover me for any positve result?
I was subject to a random 9 panel urine screen at work, will oxycodone and dilaudid show up?

The 9 panel test covers the following categories:
The panels referenced are marijuana, cocaine, PCP, opiates, methamphetamine, methadone, amphetamines, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines.

So the dilaudid (hydromorphone) and the oxycodone will show as opiates. Unless they test further you should be covered with your prescription for oxycodone.

i recieved a call from the dr's office for the lab today. i worked nights and was asleep so need to call them back tommorrow. i told the person who tested me and my supervisor i have a rx. she said we would have to wait for results and HR would of course hear my side of things. ive read that they can def tell the difference between the two if go into gs confirmation spectrometry or whatever it is. im just praying to god my rx covers me and it wont come to that. one metabolizes into morphine and oxy does not so im so confused and so worried. the sickest part is i was clean on subs and this occurred on the last day of a week long lil lapse. i could kill myself. i feel like god is punishing me and my family is about to pay the price when i lose my job and my livelihood. im clean now and have been since that day. im praying god gives me another chance i will never "slip" again and am not refilling my oxys.

You maybe in a pickle if they test with something that can detect the difference between the different opiates or their metabolites. If they detect the diluadid, you will have to be honest with the HR person and explain thoroughly the situation. Then pray for the best. I wish I had a better alternative but honesty is the best policy. As far as the doctor's office, they are just going to give you the results, the consequences are upto the HR person, if I understand you correctly.
