the capsules in question are zithromax
I cant swallow capsules,is it ok to break them open and swallow the powder in food or a drink?

some meds are time released. if it is suppose to be time released... you shouldnt take it all at one time!

For zithromax to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed.
There is a liquid version-oral suspension
I would not recommend to open the capsule.
Call your doctor and ask.
