I am 62. My prostate was removed when I was 47. My psa was undetectable for 9 years, 11 months. Now my psa has risen to 53. It goes up about 40% every four months. All of my body and pelvic scans (full body, with and w/o contrasts) have always been clean. The cancer has not settled in my body.
I am resistant to hormone therapy. My dr wants me to "compromise" and start with casodex. Yet I read that casodex is not effective without hormone therapy. Any one with experience with casodex w/o hormones.
I have had radiation and a few experimental drugs. All of no benefit.
