I also take lisinopril 10mg. the hydrochlorto with the lisinopril has dropped my blood pressure to 93 over 53. Why? I was given the hyd at an urgent care who had prevsouly given me the lisinopril ..They told me that they were giving me a flud pill... did they

Well what was your blood pressure before that? because with both of those medications, that is a decent blood pressure. the Hydrochlorohiazide works the same way as Lisinopril. Both of them lower your blood pressure in ways of making you urinate. However the Hydrochlorothiazide doesn't keep your Potassium like the Lisinopril does. that's the only difference. They call it a "water pill" because you loose water, causing your blood pressure to drop. If you had a high blood pressure, they would want that.
