I had a hysterectomy in 2002. I am almost 51 and had 4 children. This is my first experience with an oral hormone. I tried the bio-denticals, but didn't really work for me. I suffer terribly with hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain ( I have gained 40lbs in the last 2 years). I simply cannot take this anymore. On top of that I have absolutely NO libido. My breasts become horrifically sore at times. Come on! Is there never an end to what we women go thru? I try so hard to keep a happy face, but it's getting harder. Has the estratest helped any one with any of these symptoms?
