I have Non Hogikn Lymphoma and have just completed Ist course of R-Chop that includes 5 day course of Prednisilone at end of course. I have Atrial Fibrilation that is controlled by Bisoprolol. On 2nd to last day of Prednisilone, I developed racing heartbeat together with some disorientation(mild) and dizziness. I was admitted to hospital and treated with larger dose of Bisoprolol 12.5mg and 250micrograms of Digoxin. After 3 days, heart-rate reduced from 145 to just under 100 . Because of recent surgical procedures, I have been taken off Warfarin (8mg) and using 40mg Clexane. Therefore my INR was not at a level where Cardioversion could be used. I have had 3 successful cardioversions over last 6 years.
I am to start 2nd cycle of R-Chop in 10 days. Any ideas on how to prevent repetition of tachycardia ?
Can anything be done to prevent tachycardia ?
