I have been on Cymbalta for about 2.5 yrs. It was prescribed for neuropathic pain syndrome, resulting from cesarian section. I take it along with Propanolol (Inderal) and Gabapentin (Neurotin). Due to travel, poor planning on my part, and the inability for the pharmacy to get response from my physician, I am choosing to take myself off of Cymbalta and Propanolol. I have been wanting to get off of propanolol and cymbalta since I started them. I never liked the way they made me feel. The gabapentin was what /i was given from the start and never had an issue with it. I may get pregnant again, but I really don't want to be on these drugs if I do. My doctor (specialist) says to give it more time, and not to worry if I get pregnant - we will adress if/when it happens. This is my 2nd day without cymbalta (60 mg) and I am really thinking this is my chance to drop it. I knoww aa taper would be best, but I am just trying to sieze the opportunity. I am reading up on what others have experienced and am keeping my fingers crossed! Aside from drinking lots of water, are there any other recommendations out there on what else may help? I am also wondering what to look for to indicate I need further medical treatment.
