Joyce Bal...I just started taking Nexium 2days ago. I take it in the morning and by nite time I had anxiety with tingling to my lips and nose. I could not sleep can it be from the nexium which is working beautiful for my hyatial hernia

i've been on nexium 40 mg 2 x aday for years until my hyatial hernia was surgically fixed then in later years i'm on 20mg a day for stress i just went to a to z drugs at the top of the page and typed in nexium and i couldn't find any of those symptoms listed.maybe you should call your doctor and report it to them. hope this has been helpful.missy

I know you posted this a long time ago, but I just wanted to butt in and let you know that Nexium very well could have been causing your anxiety. Pharmaceutical companies that make the drugs like Nexium and Reglan don't warn enough people of their potential to cause anxiety, depression, sadness, restlessness, aggravation, and hallucinations, ect. because, in their studies, less than 1% of the test subjects had these side effects (if you will read Nexium's side effects list very carefully you will see it has potential for anxiety, depression, restlessness, and agitation--so it's in there, it's just not in the big red letters it needs to be in). Reglan literally caused me to lose my mind (sad, cause it worked perfectly) and I practically had a panic attack for two months straight. The worst part was, none of the Dr.s believed me. Not my family Dr or any of the ones at the ER. I'm sure they thought I was just pill shopping.
