Can doxycycline cause low white count? I've taken it for several years for acne. It works for me.?

There have been some reports of low white blood counts developing with doxycycline, although it is not considered to be a common side effect. I would bring this up with your doctor, who knows more about how low your white count is and what other conditions you have, and you guys can work together to decide if it might be worth discontinuing this medication.
