Adzenys XR-ODT or Vyvanse?

If you get the brand name Vyvanse, it works well. The last Vyvanse prescription I received was a generic brand that is extremely inconsistent in terms of the quantity of medication in each capsule. I will probably try to get my insurance to do a prior authorization for the Brand Name. I opened up three capsules and each one had a different amount of medication in the capsules. It was very visible to the naked eye. So, I think I am either going to quit taking it or see if my insurance will cover the Brand Name. I was taking one 30mg Adderall immediate release tablet and the Vyvanse at noon. My body doesn’t generally like Extended Release medications.
I’m in the same situation as you are right now. I can’t find Adderall anywhere in a 100 mile radius. The last two prescriptions I had filled were not the same equivalent of what the Teva Brand has been known for using. It was like my 90 day supply was from two different bottles and some were more orange than others, but it seemed like all of them were missing one or two of the 4 different ingredients as well. They didn’t seem to work as well as they have been for the last 15 years. I’ve have had a terrible time with getting this medication and I have been on it for over 15yrs now. I’m going to ask my Psychiatrist about the Adzenys this afternoon. This couldn’t have come at a worse time. My husband has stage four melanoma and I have to be able to get him to the Drs. Office nearly every week. His Oncologist started him on a new transfusion and he fell last week while I was out asleep on the couch. I can’t get a straight answer from his Drs either. They should realize that we need a time frame to get certain things done as I am afraid that he is not going to recover from this illness. So, it’s been a long hard two weeks for me and my medication. It feels like I have been burning the candle at both ends for the last two years and I have reached the middle point and burned out. Zenzedi is a waste of time as well. If you try the Vyvanse, I would recommend trying to get you’re insurance to cover the cost of the Brand Name version. It’s way to expensive for out of pocket.
