Permethrin topical Pregnancy Warnings
Permethrin topical has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. Animal studies have revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Permethrin topical is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
Permethrin topical Breastfeeding Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of permethrin into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that a decision be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue permethrin, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
