Medically reviewed by Drugs.com. Last updated on April 2, 2024.
Spritam is made with ZipDose Technology - a 3D printing technology - that enables the delivery of a single high dose (up to 1,000 mg) in a porous formulation that rapidly disintegrates with just a sip of liquid.
Spritam (generic name: levetiracetam) is an oral drug for add-on therapy used in the treatment of partial onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
Levetiracetam is also available in generic form and by other brand names and dose forms known as Keppra, Keppra XR and Elepsia XR. Spritam is the first 3D printed drug in the U.S.
