Can I use benzonatate and tussin dm together?

How many hours between taking the benzonatate 200mg and drinking the tussin dm should I wait
I took the benzonatate 200 mg at 2 this afternoon
So how long do I have to wait to drink the tussin dm

Probably not a good idea. Benzonatate numbs your throat to stop the cough reflex and tussin will thin the mucous so you can cough it up. Not a good thing to happen if your throat is numb.
