Mania does not met the criteria for Bipolar-2 for years, probably due to the mood stabilizers.
Has anyone had their bipolar diagnosis changed or downgraded to mixed-depression or cyclothymia?

Mania has never been a requirement for a Bipolar ll diagnosis, but an episode(s) of hypomania always is.

My point is what if you have mania that no longer meets the criteria for BP-2 Hypomania?
The criteria for all 3 have quite of bit overlap. Slight differences in severity and duration.
Only asking is that for me BP-2 comes with a bit of stigma.
"To qualify for a bipolar II diagnosis, a hypomanic episode must last at least four days, and a major depressive cycle must last at least 14 days. If someone’s bipolar symptoms persist for two years or more without meeting the full criteria for a hypomanic or major depressive episode, they may be diagnosed with cyclothymic disorder1.
Major Depressive Disorder with Mixed Features (MDD-MX), also known as depressive disorder with mixed features, occurs when a person experiences symptoms of both depression and mania or hypomania simultaneously. Here are the key points:
Symptoms:
People with MDD-MX primarily experience depressive symptoms but may also exhibit certain manic symptoms, such as racing thoughts.
Classic depression features include low mood, decreased interest or pleasure, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness, sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, and suicidal thoughts.
To be diagnosed with major depressive disorder, a person must have experienced specific symptoms every day for at least the past two weeks.
Manic Symptoms:
In addition to depressive symptoms, MDD-MX involves three or more symptoms of mania or hypomania, such as:
Increased talkativeness and rapid speech
Elevated mood
Increased energy
Racing thoughts
Greater distractibility
Diagnosis:
The presence of an MDD episode during which at least three symptoms of hypomania or mania are present for the majority of the episode qualifies for the diagnosis of MDD-MX1.
