Wonder if I can get any Medicine to cure this without having prescription? And Will I Go Through Any Other infection After Curing the yeast ... just like what i experienced after curing BV?
I took antibiotics (metronidazole) for Bacterial vaginosis... now suffering from Yeast Infection?

Have you ever tried Anlina insert? My family member took all of the above-mentioned pills, but to no avail. After 2 months of Anlina insert for 2 months, the bacterial vaginosis had gone.

About the yogurt deal... you're only 50% correct. Eating yogurt will not cure any vaginal yeast infection. But take a couple Tbs. of plain yogurt, dissolve it in 2 cups of warm water then douche with it, you'll be free of that uncomfortable yeast infection quick as a wink!! Yogurt contains the same healthy bacteria that keep us gals yeast free. I used to get yeast infections constantly. My doctor would automatically write a script for Diflucan every time I needed an antibiotic and finally, my mom, who was an RN for years, told me to stop going to the doctor and to try douching with the yogurt/warm water mixture. I thought she was crazy!! But she was also very smart. So I tried it. It worked!! That was 30 years ago and never had another yeast infection since!!!

Ladies LISTEN! The cure to BV is to get L reuteri in your diet. I had been doing garlic, lemon, honey, yogurt, peroxide, acidophilus, metronidazole, Monistat, cranberry pills and juice and countless cultures at 3 per visit and $100 each, and tons of other diy home remedies, eating, inserting and douching..just to deal with the BV and then yeast infections. I’m sensitive so my ph was always getting thrown off with my cycle or intimacy. I made sure I had acidophilus and Reuteri in my diet, echinacea doesn’t hurt either, and vitamin c which I took or cranberry pills and garlic also BC I had plenty. As Long as I incorporated the reuteri into an already, kind of healthy, diet with plenty water I was fine. Also be sure to mind what skincare products you use as fragrance etc throws your body out of whack. Our skin is our largest organ! I’ve said my piece, enjoy some relief!

Eat at least one yogurt for every day that you take any antibiotics for anything. It's supposed to DECREASE THE CHANCE of getting an yeast infection by balancing out the bacteria. It doesn't matter which kind, I just personally don't think that the kids yogurt is good enough. I was told that the bacteria in yogurt is really good for the vagina. Just a thought, maybe it will work. Hope you feel better! I was just diagnosed with BV myself, so hopefully we both can get rid of completely.

I suffered from bv for a long time. NOTHING helped. pills, creams, you name it. Im very clean and it was horrible to smell awful after you get out of the shower.. i didn't want sex and refused to tell my boyfriend what was wrong i was so embarrassed. i have NO std's and am with one man only. it came out of nowhere. one day while shaving down there i had cut myself and so i applied mupirocin ointment that i had on hand (its prescription only) from an old skin infection i had before. I applied it on both outer sides of my vagina very thin and went about my day. the next day, boom, my bv was GONE!! and stayed gone. no more horrible smell and nasty discharge. Im sure you shouldn't put it inside of you, like i said only on the outside. i dont know how it worked or why, really dont care. all i know is i have a sex life now and am "normal" again! every quack medical professional says this ointment will not work for that.
Just goes to show you all those fancy book learning dont know it all.. Once a week i apply it outside of my vagina VERY thinly so to keep it away. i wanted to share this with every woman suffering from this for it will ruin your social life

Im just like u..seems like I always get bv & I too am embarrassed to have sex with my bf cuz of the smell n discharge then I treat it & sometimes get a yeast infection..my Dr suggested douching but I've even heard that's bad..I DONT feel like myself..I'm super clean too that's why this drives me nuts

I posted in another area. But L rueturi is your cute. These prescriptions will eventually cause issues whether it be cancer other issues including infertility.

*L-reuteri in combo with acidophilus and vitamin cons your cure. All cheap pills to pop. I suffered years!!!

The metronidazole is a powerful antibiotic that kills off not only the pathogenic bacteria but the good bacteria as well and then the yeast are able to over multiply, and cause a yeast infection. Fluconazole is an oral rx med that can treat the yeast internally and miconazole is an over the counter cream that will treat it intravaginally. If you ever have to take the metro in the future, be sure to ask for fluconazole aka diflucan to treat the subsequent yeast infection that may occur.

They both are pretty good, fluconazole is rx only in my country, but, the advantage is that it can be taken just before you finishing the bv metro treatment, and you will circumvent the yeast before it gets very bad. The miconazole is cheaper and over the counter, and soothes the itchy irritated skin. Once you have had a yeast infection, you are a bit more prone to it in the future. I don't know why drs don't automatically give a fluconazole rx to anyone who has to use the metro, it almost always causes a yeast infection. It's about the office visit and getting paid they know taking it gives you a yeast infection so you have make another appointment to go in for an office visit a doctor also told me flagyl treats a yeast infection

Do u take the diflucan pill right after your done with the metronidazole pills if yeast infection occur?

you can go to your doctor or health clinic and they have a pill that cures the yeast infection in one day. Many antibiotics can give a woman a yeast infection but if you use over the counter vaginal creams and are on birth control it can decrease it's effectiveness so be careful if doing that method and plan on having intercourse.

Thankfully yes, u can buy Monistat at your favorite pharmacy for relatively low money expenditures. There are several 'types', mostly differing in amount and # of days treatment. It's all kinda messy... such is our lot in life. Just pick out your favorite and have fun. Monilia is not as bad as Bv. Why do we get all of the "private stuff"?
