Fever in Adults

Okay. If your fever is very high (more than 104 degrees F) or if you have any of those concerning symptoms with even a low-grade fever, it's important you get prompt medical attention. You could have a serious condition. Two examples out of many include meningitis or a pulmonary embolus (blood clot in the lung). And if you cannot drink enough fluids with a fever, you may soon become dehydrated.
