If you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Tetrahydrozoline Solution during pregnancy. It is unknown if Tetrahydrozoline Solution is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Tetrahydrozoline Solution, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Tetrahydrozoline nasal Pregnancy Warnings
Tetrahydrozoline nasal has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Tetrahydrozoline is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
Tetrahydrozoline nasal Lactation Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of tetrahydrozoline into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering tetrahydrozoline to nursing women.
