Dipivefrin has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. Animal studies have revealed no evidence of fetal harm or teratogenicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Dipivefrin is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
